Inquire
Use the Inquiry Form, found in the menu on the left-hand side of this page, to request a complete packet of information or contact the Admission Office at 203-801-4833 to ask a specific question. This web site is also designed to answer many of your questions as prospective students and parents.
Attend an Open House or "Take a Look" Friday
Meet our students and faculty; take a tour of the campus; attend classes, and speak with a member of our admissions staff.  These events are designed to provide you with a sense of the quality education St. Luke's students receive. We have 3 Take-A-Look Fridays and 1 Sunday Open House in the fall; call our office at (203) 801-4833 or view our school calendar to find the event that suits your schedule.
Complete an Application
It is necessary to have a completed application form on file before scheduling a student visit or parent discussion.
Application for Admission - Students should complete pages 1-6, which include the parent and student questionnaires, an essay response page and basic biographical information.
Supplement Your Application Materials
Parent Discussion - A visit to St. Luke’s for a personal discussion is an essential part of the admission process. Parents are encouraged to arrange for a visit shortly after submitting the admission application.
Academic Record - The student should submit all academic transcripts for the current school year and the previous school year (high school applicants are required to submit records from the previous two school years as well as the current year). If the application is received before the end of the first semester, the student should forward semester grades as soon as they are available.
Recommendations - St. Luke’s asks for three recommendations: from the student's current English, Math teacher and a counselor or administrator at the student's current school. Additional recommendations are welcomed but the above three are required.
Student Visitation Day and Interview - Middle School Applicants (grades 5-8) are required to attend a day of classes to experience the St. Luke’s community. By "shadowing" one of our students through a typical class day, touring the campus, and speaking with an admissions officer, candidates will be able to determine if St. Luke’s is indeed the right place for them. Upper School School Applicants (grades 9-12) Are required to schedule an interview with either the Director or Associate Director of Admission.  Student-led campus tours are included on the day of the interview.  Upon admission, Upper School applicants are invited back for a series of revisit days that involve attending a day of classes at St. Luke's.
Sit for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE)
Applicants are required to submit standardized testing scores from the current year. Students applying for grades 5-11 submit ISEE results. Applicants for grades 9-11 may submit SSAT, PSAT/SAT or ACT results in lieu of the ISEE. The ISEE is administered several times each year at St. Luke’s School. For test dates, locations, and other information, visit www.erbtest.org.

The Fairfield and Westchester County Consortium of Independent Schools, which includes St. Luke’s School, uses the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) as an admission test for grades five through twelve.  However, St. Luke's will accept the results from the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT).  A copy of the results from the SSAT must be provided by the applicant.
