Spirited SpringFest Celebrates The Arts & Academics

VGP
Last week’s SpringFest showcased St. Luke’s scholars, poets, musicians, artists and performers. This annual celebration of the arts and academics on the Hilltop began with the Scholars Symposium on Thursday evening. On Friday afternoon, the Upper School acting class started things off with selected scenes in the Black Box Theater, followed by the Composers Concert in the Band Room. The compositions were written and performed by students. An impromptu jam broke out between students and music teachers Bob Leinbach and Peter Valera.

SpringFest continued in the Fireplace Commons. The Senior Solo Art Shows and Spring Art Exhibition Opening Reception featured impressive artwork throughout the space. This was followed by student poetry readings, acoustic music and selections from the Upper School’s upcoming spring production of Avenue Q: School Edition.
