WSLX would not be what it is today without the skills, talents, and time of a dedicated group of faculty, alumni, and friends. WSLX faculty advisers, who oversee the day-to-day operations of the station are Dean of Middle School Student Life Troy Haynie (SLS ’85), and Jeff Kress.
The "Friends of WSLX" are a dedicated and talented bunch indeed:
Longtime radio personality Peter Bush Swanberg (SLS ’73/WFOX 95.9 The Fox) helps manage WSLX on a volunteer basis, and he along with Dan Mecca (SLS ’81) were two of the original founding members of the station "Way Back When". They provide countless hours of help, support, and advice.
When he's not busy keeping all the stations in the Cox Media Group up and running, engineer extraordinaire Ed Butler generously volunteers his time and talents, which helps us not only "put out fires", but also to continue the station’s operational development and upkeep.
