Renowned Professor Normand Lamoureux Visits SLS French Classes

V. Parker
St. Luke’s Honors and AP French students had a special visitor last week—former Holy Cross French professor, author and SLS grandparent Normand Lamoureux. During his four decades of teaching, Lamoureux wrote numerous French textbooks including the four-volume Ensemble series, used in universities nationwide and at St. Luke’s.

Upper School World Language Chair Jon Shee shared, “"It was a thrill to have this esteemed French scholar discuss the poetry of Victor Hugo and Pierre de Ronsard with our students. My students have been talking about M. Lamoureux’s visit for days and they truly enjoyed the 'analyse de texte' he demonstrated in class." This is the second year Lamoureux has been a guest teacher on the Hilltop.
