 | Exposing students to music, theater, and the visual arts, St. Luke’s fine arts program gives them the room (metaphorical and literal) they need to experiment, hone talents, and express themselves.
Led by talented, expert faculty, students compose their own music in the MIDI lab; paint, sketch, design, and sculpt in the Art House; or dance, sing, act, build, produce, and perform in our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. While the Blues Band wows its audience, students bring complex themes to life on stage, supported by our tech crew. St. Luke’s singers regularly receive All-State Honors, and our artists continue to pursue their passions in college.
Through their creative endeavors, our students add dimension—to themselves, their school, and their community. |
| | MS Spring One-Act plays 5/18/2012 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Location: SPAC Contact: Jereme Anglin
Spring productions are traditionally more relaxed and produced "in the round" using minimal props and sets. Actors typically wear black clothes instead of formal costumes, accented with a hat or other article of clothing that hints at the character.
The actors and Director chose 3 short scripts. Each show is about 20 minutes long. One will be more like a "radio" play and all students will work at creating the sound effects and characters as if it were an old-time radio show. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Alumni Choir Sing-A-Long & Gathering 5/24/2012 Location: Main Building - Seldin Performing Arts Center - SPAC Contact: Dale Griffa
Were you a member of a St. Luke's School singing group during your days on the Hilltop? Remember your last concert on stage? Want to relive your St. Luke's musical glory one more night? Now you can! Join the 2011-2012 editions of St. Luke's Chorale, Chorus, Take Note, Acafellas, & No Strings Attached for the Upper School Spring Concert and jump on stage for the first St. Luke's Choir Sing-A-Long to help send the Class of 2012 off in style. Music Department Chair, and all around music good guy, Dale Griffa hopes to see all St. Luke's singers past and present on stage to perform the traditional last song of the night, "Passages", to help send off this year's seniors in style. Plan to stay and join the current St. Luke's Choir and St. Luke's Faculty for a brief gathering following the performance in the Commons. RSVP to Dale Griffa, Music Department Chair or David Hirx, Director of Alumni Relations, by May 15. |
