Who We Are
Diversity Plan
Teaching & Resources
Welcome
Difference: We not only acknowledge our unique differences, but we also look for ways to celebrate them in each other.

Inclusion: Our teachers are mindful of varied perspectives and work to include different voices in the curriculum.

Vision: In October 2006, our Board of Trustees adopted a formal Diversity Plan, a primary guide to the work they do.

Equity: Our school life is consistent with the principles outlined in the NAIS Best Practices for Equity and Justice.

Relationships: At the center of a St. Luke’s educational experience are rich relationships among students, teachers, parents, staff, alumni, and trustees.

Statistics: We are intentional about reaching out to many different communities, and we keep a watchful eye on how we are measuring up.

International: The attention we pay to diversity underscores our global education.

Transparency: While we always strive to do this work sensitively and intentionally, we know we are not perfect. It is a journey that we are on.

Y: The journey is Yours, Mine and Ours.

I believe the Multi-cultural Parent Group and the school's diversity initiatives have greatly enhanced my family's experience at St. Luke's. I appreciate the deliberate attempt the School takes to make every member of the community feel at ease, welcomed, and wanted. There is action behind the ideas, response to the calls and as a result, positive testimonials from parents and students alike. The fact the school has a "Diversity Plan" and capable leaders to carry out its mission speaks volumes to its level of commitment to the people it serves. For these reasons, I am proud to be a part of the St. Luke's community.
