Leaders in set design, lighting and audio engineering

Students design and build every backdrop and set used in St. Luke's Theatre productions. Known for creativity and innovation, the "Tech Crew" is an integral part of the theatre program.  Under expert instruction, students learn to operate manual and power tools, create structures, flats, furniture, props, and clever scenery. Students become proficient with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, and learn sound and lighting design basics.

During shows, the Tech Crew can be seen stage managing, moving sets on and off stage, flying scenery in and out, operating follow-spotlights in the catwalks, helping actors with costumes and make-up, and running light and sound boards in the tech booth. At St. Luke's, students run the shows.
