St. Luke’s strategic planning process engaged our entire community and resulted in a plan to ensure a St. Luke’s education remains exceptional into the future.

This endeavor was fueled by a guiding North Star Question:

What will students need to thrive — now and into the future?
Strategic Plan: Prepared to Thrive is St. Luke’s answer to this question.

Prepared to Thrive draws on the wisdom and experience of the St. Luke’s community. It is grounded in research and inspired by an understanding that the best schools prepare students to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Four Interconnected Priorities

The strategic plan is built on four strategic priorities, each of which offers standalone importance but also intersects with and reinforces the others, uniting behind a single goal: An education that produces graduates Prepared to Thrive.

    Leading with Humanity
    A new leadership curriculum that will span grades 5-12 — ensuring every student at St. Luke’s graduates with the skills, experiences, and confidence to lead with humanity.

    Also launching this fall is Compass — an innovative one-to-one coaching initiative. Compass helps students identify interests and strengths while building confidence and agency.

    Learning that Lasts
    The forward-thinking curriculum at St. Luke’s is designed to prepare students for an increasingly diverse, interconnected, and global future. This includes exposing all students to fields of study — such as emerging tech, computer science and engineering — that will increasingly impact education, careers, and life in the years to come. 

    Learning that Lasts is student-driven, has clear purpose, and creates learning experiences and capabilities that serve students far beyond graduation.

Prepared to Thrive combines evidenced-based well-being practices with programs designed to fortify our stellar community by building deep connections, trust, and inclusive excellence. Well-being and community-building together create a Thrive Culture.

    Foundational Excellence
    For students to thrive, their school must be thriving. The vitality of St. Luke’s fuels all other goals. Initiatives falling under Foundational Excellence include: Faculty & Staff Excellence; Expanded Access to SLS through programs like Summer at St. Luke’s, Leadership Institute, and Teaching Institutes; Enhanced Strategic Enrollment and Marketing to attract mission-aligned families and differentiate St. Luke’s; and a Master Campus Plan that anticipates and meets future needs.
