Join Summer@SLS for the inaugural week of Mosaic Camp. Students curious about the art of making mosaics, no matter your level of art expertise, will gain confidence and receive a solid foundation of skills—a great option especially if you’d like tangible steps to get your creative process rolling.
Over the course of the week, you will learn about basic tools, techniques, and materials. We will cover methods for cutting tile, proper adhesives, approaches to design/layout, and grouting. Participants will have access to both found and traditional materials and have the opportunity to create at least two projects. All will be encouraged to experiment with color and texture to begin to discover the broad options mosaic work offers. Come experience the endless possibilities of this amazing art form. The cost of the camp includes materials so that students can take home their masterpieces!
