Academic Writing Workshop

Academic Writing Workshop. Two-week blended experience—combining online and classroom learning—designed to address some of the most common writing challenges 9th- and 10th-grade students encounter. Face the new school year with an arsenal of writing strategies that save time and give you the confidence to write critically and efficiently.

Week 1: Online   To be completed any time between August 1-16

Codebug

Codebug: Build Your Personal Website. Learn to design and build professional websites developing core languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Two-week course: July 6-17
Rising 9th - 12th graders.

College Essay Writing Workshop

College Essay Writing Workshop. Explore essential elements of strong personal and analytical writing, combining meaningful self-reflection and story development and structure.

designLab

designLab: How to Make Anything - explore designLab's fabrication tools while developing creative problem-solving skills. This camp assumes (and prefers) little to no software and/or hardware background. The cost of the camp includes materials so that each student can take home their creations.

DIY Teddy Bear Camp

DIY Teddy Bear Camp. Craft one-of-a-kind teddy bear with St. Luke's art teacher Haley Wulfman. Learn the basics of working with a pattern, stitching (hand and/or machine sewing techniques), and adding details such as eyes, notes, etc.

Health Mini-Courses

Health Mini-Courses. Two courses available for St. Luke's Upper School students.
Drugs and Alcohol. This mini-course provides students with critical information about the use and misuse of alcohol and drugs, including over-the-counter, prescription, and illegal drugs.

Humanities Seminar: Russia

Humanities Seminar: Russia. This course will introduce a college-level discussion format and work to improve students’ writing and reading comprehension as they examine Vladimir Putin's rise from obscurity to absolute power.

JumpStart to Algebra 2For all St. Luke's students rising into Algebra 2 after completing a full course in Geometry. This course will serve as a review of the major concepts from Algebra 1 that students need to be successful in Algebra 2

Mondays at the MET

Mondays at the META fun, unique opportunity savor a small selection of artwork as history teacher Abby Abbott provides rich context and vibrant detail on a privately curated tour of NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Showcase Elite Baseball Training Camp

Showcase Elite Baseball Training CampTraining regiment will cater to the extensive summer baseball tournament schedule of travel/showcase athletes.
For serious baseball players ages 14-19.
Six three-day sessions* beginning June 16.
*Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

Sports Camp

Summer Sports Camp. Unique multi-sport camp focusing on individual skill development as well as tactical and team strategies. Leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship are emphasized by experienced coaching staff. 
Six one-week sessions beginning June 15. 
Ages 4-14.
