In her recent life, Carolyn has been very involved with a variety of non-profit organizations. In addition to serving as Treasurer and Chair of the Financial Affairs Committee of the St. Luke’s Board, she is Chair of the Board of Horizons at New Canaan Country School. As a parent at St. Luke’s, she has been involved in various PA activities. In addition, while her children attended New Canaan Country School, Carolyn served on the Executive Council of the Parents’ Association, co-chair of the Spring Benefit and of the Festival of Books, and co-chair of the 9th Grade Endowment. In her church community, Carolyn has served on a number of ministry teams over the years.
Carolyn attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School. Her experience includes working in Treasury as Vice President for Primedia, a KKR portfolio company, where she raised capital for acquisitions. Previously, she worked at McKinsey & Company as a consultant, working on projects from health care to retail. She also worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan where she worked in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.
Carolyn has lived in Darien for 19 years with her husband, Sturgis, and their three children: Paul, ’17, C.J. ’19 and Elizabeth. For fun, she sings and co-directs Acabella, a local a cappella women’s singing group.
