Karen Stamoulis '89

Karen has been actively involved in the St. Luke's community, taking on leadership roles as President as well as VP of Social Activities within the Parents' Association, and serving as a Parent Ambassador actively engaged in welcoming prospective and new families to the school. Beyond her trustee duties, Karen is also Vice President of the Alumni Association Board at St. Luke’s.  
 
Karen originally moved to Connecticut in 1985 and became a student of St. Luke’s School. After graduating SLS in 1989, Karen attended St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went on to earn a Masters of Arts in Teaching specializing in Elementary Education from Manhattanville College and thereafter served as a second-grade teacher in the Wilton Public School System at Miller-Driscoll School for four years. 
 
Karen has always been active in her community, holding several volunteer positions in her children’s schools and church, as well as serving on the Council of Darien School Parents. In addition, Karen previously served as President of OPUS for Person to Person, a fundraising organization for Person to Person which serves more than 20,000 community members with food, clothing, emergency assistance and scholarship programs among other assistance.  
 
Karen and her husband Paul live in New Canaan with their children and have been a proud St. Luke’s family since 2015. Their son Will began in 5th grade and graduated in 2022. Kate '18 is a student at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland majoring in English.
