Kate Parker-Burgard

Kate Parker-Burgard is St. Luke's Center for Leadership Director and has been at St. Luke's since 2003. She served as St. Luke's Dean of Students and St. Luke's Director of Character Education before assuming her current role in 2018. Kate holds a BA with a concentration in Religion from Hamilton College and a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary. She was ordained into the United Methodist Church. Prior to coming to St. Luke's School, Kate was the pastor of churches in the NY city area and then was the Dean of Students at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois. Kate has served on the board of the Foundation 4 Orphans, the CAIS Commission on Professional Development, the ISACS Committee on Diversity, the NAIS POCC planning committee, and as moderator of the Monroe Congregational Church. Presently, she is a member of the SLS Equity Leadership Team and is a Visiting Scholar for CSEE (Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education). She is the recipient of the St. Luke's Crusader Award, the Blakely Distinguished Faculty Award, and the Tracy B. Duncan Innovation Award. Kate and her husband Don live in Monroe and are the parents of two St. Luke's alumni: Jacob '10 and Eli '12.
