Music, Art, and Nature Camp is a half-day program offered to kids ages four to seven years old. As the name implies, campers will engage in various activities that involve playing music, creating visual art projects, and exploring nature. Whether it’s picking up maracas and tambourines in the music room, painting with watercolors in the art room, or taking advantage of the nature trails right here on St. Luke’s campus, each day will afford the campers the opportunity to creatively express themselves and explore the spaces around them. Activities will often cross over with each other: campers may gather a leaf or flower from the trail and return back to the art room to draw it, or they may bring their art supplies and instruments outside with them if the weather permits. Even on rainy days, Music, Art, & Nature Camp is the perfect place for kids to embrace their creative sides and have some fun in the summer!

Music, Art, & Nature Camp is run by Robert Salandra, an Upper School History Teaching Fellow at St. Luke’s, who also has experience teaching and leading programs at the elementary school level. In addition to being a musician himself, he is also an avid hiker and naturalist who will be able to instruct the campers on the “do’s and don’t’s” of being outside in the natural environment.

Campers enrolled in Music, Art, and Nature Camp may also participate in our Junior Sports Camp -- also for ages 4-7 -- across the week for no additional fee. This gives campers the freedom to toggle between the physical activities offered by the Sports Camp, and the creative and exploratory activities offered by the Music, Art, & Nature Camp. Each day the leaders of both camps will be in communication with each other, coordinating the movement of the campers, if they or their parents choose to take advantage of both camps.
