Middle School Play: Laughter Over Looming Homework

Who knew that missing homework could be so entertaining?

From Middle School Drama Director Magistra Mahler:

The Middle School fall production of Homework Eats Dog met with uproarious laughter last week, as the cast wove a hilarious tale of desperate excuses and looming deadlines. The small cast of six actors prepared for six weeks, and in the process had the chance to learn improv strategies, physical comedy, pantomime, and other key skills for a successful comedy. It was so much fun to present their hard work to a full house, as so many fellow students opted to "Stay for the Play," a new initiative this year to encourage community engagement in the after-school theatre program.

This weekend the Upper School presents the funny and fast-paced The 39 Steps on Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm.

The next production for Middle School students will be the all-school winter musical, School of Rock.
