SLS PA: Getting to Know the Story Behind the Stories
On February 10th, The St. Luke’s Parents’ Association hosted a special new event called Meet the Author. Parents and Faculty joined author Christopher Rosow, over Zoom, to talk about his two best-selling novels, False Assurances and Threat Bias, and to hear his story of the stories. Christopher, a St. Luke’s parent and trustee, shared his journey from his first idea for a character, through the publishing of the books, to the optioning of movie rights. He shared how the idea behind the series came to him in the early hours of the morning of July 10, 2017, while he was standing watch on a sailboat and racing from Marblehead to Halifax. He further shared the ups and downs of rejection, rethinking & regrouping to self-publish, as well as the excitement of the conversation with a Hollywood studio.
Christopher engaged in a Q & A with attendees that was honest, humorous, and kept us all wanting to hear more. We were given a “sneak peak” at James Patterson’s review of the 3rd book in the series and the next chapter of Christopher's story. Despite being separated by a computer screen, the evening was casual and filled with great conversation as though we were sitting in someone's living room chatting.
We're all eager to follow this journey to hear what happens next!
