Calling Animal Lovers!

Kate Parker-Burgard
New Canaan Nature Center is looking for one individual (or family) per day to help care for their chickens and goats. Shifts currently available: Sunday mornings (7-7:30am in summer/8-8:30 am in winter), Monday evenings (around sundown), and Wednesday mornings (7-7:30am in summer/8-8:30 am in winter). The work involves making sure the animals have food, refilling their water, and letting the animals out for the day/putting the animals away for the night. Formal training will be provided by the Director of Animal Care and they prefer volunteers who are able to make a long-term commitment (through summer and into the school year). Please contact Michelle Hips at mhips@newcanaannature.org if interested.
