The St. Luke's Parents' Association consists of dedicated volunteers who support activities that enhance the lives of our students. It is the enthusiasm of our students, families, and faculty and staff that makes St. Luke's School the special place that it is. Volunteers are needed throughout the year for the following committees and events. Please check any areas of interest to you.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Alumni Parent Board
Work with Alumni Director Stefanie Veneruso to coordinate communication with alumni parents and to organize activities to keep alumni parents connected to SLS and to each other.
Athletics/Storm Chasers
The PA Athletics/Storm Chasers Committee is dedicated to supporting athletic communications among all constituents of the St. Luke's community as well as helping to organize school-wide athletic events and athletic related activities on the Hilltop. Our principal goal is to elevate parents' awareness of both Middle and Upper School weekly athletic competitions and highlight SLS student athletic achievement. We also strive to encourage all students, faculty and parents to attend athletic events and to support SLS athletes. Finally, we hope to generate school spirit and pride through our athletic programs and athletes.
Book Chat
Coordinate annual Parents' Book Chat led by SLS faculty. Help coordinate book selection, communication and evening social event.
Community Service Support
Help with grade specific Community Service projects/trips throughout the year for each grade.
Drama Support
Help with school drama productions in November, February/ March and mid-May.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation
Collect and distribute Thanksgiving pies to faculty and staff.
Hospitality
Provide food and refreshments (with help of volunteers) for monthly PA meetings, Parent Nights in September, and choir/ band concerts as needed. The PA provides a budget.
Library Support
Provide support to the Librarian.
New Family Support
Work with Admissions to coordinate support for new families: New Parents BBQ: Coordinate the New Parents BBQ (a fun, casual evening for all new parents prior to the start of school). New Family Breakfast: Coordinate decorations and food for the New Family Breakfast in April. New Family Mentors: Call prospective families in your town and answer questions they may have about the school, providing your unique point of view on the St. Luke's Community.
Photo Day
Help coordinate student photo sessions (September/October).
School Store
Work in the school store. The store is generally open M/W/F 11am-1pm and T/R 8:30-9:15am. Work at pop-up stores (New Student Orientation, Homecoming, New Families Breakfast). Closed half days or other early dismissal days.
Spring Gathering
Work on a committee for the PA’s annual Spring Gathering (social). Committees include: Auction, Entertainment, Treasurer, Systems, Decorating, Publicity, Invitations, Program, Wishing Tree.
St. Luke's Closet
Work on a committee to collect SLS dress code items and spirit wear. These items are collected and made available to SLS families throughout the year as children's sizes and needs change.
Class Parent 2019-2020
Class Parents coordinate grade specific parent and student social activities, beginning in September with class coffees. Class Parents for 2018-2019 have already been assigned. Please let us know if you are interested for the 2019-2020 school year. One Class Parent for each grade will be the Class Communicator, who will send bulk emails to parents of the class and keep the Class Page updated on the St. Luke's website. Please check the Class Communicator box below in addition to the appropriate box for your child's grade if you are interested in being the Class Communicator for the grade.
