The St. Luke's Parents' Association consists of dedicated volunteers who support activities that enhance the lives of our students. It is the enthusiasm of our students, families, and faculty and staff that makes St. Luke's School the special place that it is. Volunteers are needed throughout the year for the following committees and events. Click below for descriptions and register for any/all areas of interest to you.

  • Book Chat

    Chairs: Julia Uzgiris and Carrie Corcoran

    Coordinate annual Parents' Book Chat led by SLS faculty. Work with faculty to choose a date for the event, publicize and promote book selection, and plan the evening social event.

  • Class Parents 2024-25

    Class Parents coordinate grade-specific parent and student social activities, beginning in September with class coffees. One class parent for each grade will be the Class Communicator, who will send bulk emails to parents of the class and keep the Class Page updated on the St. Luke's website.

  • New Family & Admissions Support

    Chairs: Connie Bennett and Lia Coleman

    Work with Admissions to coordinate support for prospective and new families. Keep them in the loop with PA events, offer to meet them at events and answer any questions. Assist with New Parents BBQ (a fun, casual evening for all new parents in late August) and/or with the New Family Breakfast in April.

    Chairs: Lisa Finn, Dana Grunow

    Join our committee to support athletics communications, encourage attendance 
    at games and support for SLS athletes, organize school-wide athletic events and athletic related activities on the Hilltop, and generate school spirit and pride through our athletic programs. Our principal goal is to elevate parents’ awareness of MS and US weekly athletic competitions and highlight student athletic achievement.

  • Photo Day

    Chairs: Barbara Snell and Kim Moskowitz

    Assist Highpoint Photography on Photo Day (October 7, 2021). Parent volunteers help move students through the scheduled photography sessions. Volunteers also assist on the day photo packages are distributed to students.

    The store is generally open Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. We also are looking for help at various pop-up events (Homecoming, New Families Breakfast, etc.).

  • Spread the Love Pie Drive

    Help organize the PA's Annual Spread the Love Pie Drive - a wonderful way to show our appreciation to St. Luke's faculty and staff.

  • Spring Gathering

    Work on a committee for the PA’s annual Spring Gathering (social). 

    Committees include: Auction, Entertainment, Treasurer, Systems, Decorating, 
    Publicity, Invitations, Program, Wishing Tree.

  • St. Luke's Closet

    Chairs: Hanane Ait Chaf and Julia Frossell

    Work on our dress code recycling program: collect and organize donated dress code items and spirit wear throughout the year. Assist when the closet opens to all St. Luke’s families. 
     
    As students outgrow their pants, blazers, ties, dress shirts and Dennis skirts, families donate them to the St. Luke's Closet. These clothes are then free to all St. Luke's students.

    This wonderful community-building project was started by an SLS parent.
