Kay Krill is President and CEO of ANN INC. Known for her merchandising savvy and hands-on management style, Kay joined Ann Taylor in 1994 and was quickly promoted to Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Design for LOFT. In 2001, she was named President of the LOFT division which, under her leadership, became a $1 billion business and one of the fastest growing concepts in women’s apparel. She was named President of Ann Taylor Stores Corporation in 2004 as well as a member of the Ann Taylor Board of Directors.  In 2005, the CEO title was added.
 
In 2010, Kay successfully engineered the company’s renaming to ANN INC. to best represent the company’s evolution to a brand-led, world-class, multi-channel retailer for real women of all ages. She is focused on steadily growing the Ann Taylor and LOFT brands, as well as the company’s fast-growing outlet and Internet channels.  Total revenues are now $2.2 billion.
 
Her passion for women’s and children’s charitable causes has inspired her to cultivate a community of giving at ANN INC.  ANN CARES is a charitable platform that has contributed over $20 million in seven years to support partners including The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Most recently, in collaboration with the Vital Voices Global partnership, ANN CARES launched ANNpower - an initiative designed to invest in and inspire young women to be the leaders of tomorrow.  Kay was a 2011 honoree at the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York’s 36thAnnual Smart Cookie Gala.  She also extends her commitment to the employees at ANN INC. As the CEO of a company comprised of 93% women, she has been staunch supporter of leading-edge benefits designed to honor the full lives of her teams. 
 
She has been recognized for several years by Crain’s as one of the “50 Most Influential Women in New York.” Kay is a current Board member of the National Retail Federation, the world’s largest retail trade association.  
 
Kay received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and economics from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, where she served on the Board of Trustees from 1994-2001.  She also has served on the board of her secondary school alma mater, The Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. 
 
Kay resides in Stamford with her family, which includes Jamie ’18 and John ’18.
