Amanda Martocchio is the principal of Amanda Martocchio Architecture + Design, LLC, based in New Canaan, Conn., and specializing in custom residential design. Her firm received the 2011 Emerging Architectural Firm Award from the American Institute of Architect’s Connecticut Chapter as well as 2011 Design Awards from both the AIA’s Westchester-Hudson and Connecticut Chapters. She is a two-time recipient of the Innovation in Design Award given by Cottages & Gardens Magazine, and was the 2010 recipient of the prestigious Tucker Design Award. Amanda is a LEED-certified professional (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design of the US Green Building Council) and a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
 
She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a master's from Harvard Graduate School of Design.
 
Amanda grew up in Colorado, the daughter of two teachers. She resides in New Canaan with her husband, Don, and their two children: Luke ’17 and Julia.
