Dr. Tricia McDonough Ryan is a specialist in pediatric clinical neuroscience. She works part-time on medical staff at Gaylord Specialty Hospital in the Center for Brain Health and her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric traumatic brain injury, stroke, toxicities and other diseases and trauma effecting neurodevelopment. Tricia’s areas of research have included grants in neurocognitive and family systems functioning in mild to severe traumatic brain injury, the neurodevelopmental late effects of radiation therapy in pediatric brain tumors and the neurobehavioral effects of lead exposure.  

Tricia and her husband, Jack, are passionate about social justice initiatives and she is involved with pediatric medical outreach teams to underdeveloped countries, American Red Cross, and refugee resettlement to the US.

Tricia and Jack live in Darien along with Jackson (SLS ’18) and LePing (SLS ’21). Their oldest son Patrick works in Boston (Elon ’17).
