Emily Walsh
English Teacher
Emily Walsh joined the St. Luke’s faculty in 2018 after stints teaching at Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut and playing professional ice hockey in Germany. In addition to teaching Upper School English, Emily is the faculty advisor to the Upper School Student Council, the co-dean of the class of 2026, and the head coach of the varsity field hockey and ice hockey teams. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont, where she captained their Division 1 ice hockey team, and holds a master’s degree in humanities from Wesleyan University. She is also a graduate of the Klingenstein Summer Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University. Emily participated in St. Luke’s inaugural designLab Institute and is the current holder of the Leadership and Design fellowship, through which she is practicing the design thinking approach to problem-solving.
