James Andersen is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Clearview Capital, LLC, a private equity firm based in Stamford, Conn. Clearview is an industry leader in the lower middle market that specializes in the acquisition and development of family-owned and entrepreneur-led businesses with revenue up to $100 million. He is involved in all aspects of the firm’s activities, is Co-chair of the Investment Committee and serves as Chairman or Director of several private companies.
 
Prior to forming Clearview, James was a Managing Director at Capital Partners where he led the firm's portfolio management efforts, co-managed due diligence and was responsible for significant improvements in portfolio performance. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant with Mars & Company and a senior field engineer and field test coordinator with Schlumberger, Ltd. stationed in Egypt.
 
James earned a BSE in Civil Engineering, cum laude, from Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School. He is active in Princeton University Alumni Affairs, where he serves on the Advisory Council for the department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering and is past chair of the Alumni Council Committee on Careers. He has coached soccer, football and baseball in Wilton for the past 15 years.
 
James and his wife, Joyce, live in Wilton with their five sons – Kyle ’15, Skye ’16, Quentin ’17, Austin '21 and Everett ’22.
