Irene Mei Zhi Shum

Irene Mei Zhi Shum is the Curator and Collections Manager of the Philip Johnson Glass House, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where she organizes its exhibitions, collections, conservation projects, programs, and publications. Prior to joining the Glass House, Irene organized “Groundswell: Constructing the Contemporary Landscape,” the Museum of Modern Art’s first survey on landscape architecture. She also worked at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the New Museum of Contemporary Art. Irene received her A.B. in architecture and art history at Barnard College at Columbia University and M.Arch Masters from Yale University School of Architecture. She was awarded the Prix de Ville de Fontainbleau from the Ecoles d’Art Americaines.
