Inspiring Students to Serve

V. Parker
From Director of the Center for Leadership Stephanie Bramlett:

Inspiring. That was the one word Juan Rosario '18 used to succinctly describe WE Day UN in New York City this week. WE is an international organization that partners with schools to inspire community service and activism. Fourteen St. Luke’s students and three faculty chaperones from the Center for Leadership attended the WE Day UN symposium held at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Dozens of speakers shared motivational messages with the students including: Justin Trudeau, Her Excellency President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Laurie Hernandez, Whoopi Goldberg, R.J. Palacio, and Chelsea Clinton. The energy-filled symposium followed the message of our own School’s motto: Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve.
