MS Artwork of the Week: Peyton Franz '23, Alex Holtzapffel '23

Haley Wulfman
Every year, the 7th grade does transformation. Part of what we do in art is to celebrate the individuality of each artist, and so—here are two very different, and very wonderful examples.

Congratulations to Peyton Franz, who (funny enough), did not follow the assignment—to show a donut disappearing as she ate it. Instead, she gave this job to a mouse! What a creative twist to the original concept.

And, congratulations to Alex Holtzapffel for his imaginative, amazing drawing of a dollar bill changing into a praying mantus, in five steps. Imagination is one of the highest order thinking skills in artmaking, and he used it brilliantly here.
