Girls Storm To NEPSAC Tournament

Dan Clarke
Congratulations to Varsity Volleyball and Girls Varsity Soccer who will be competing in the New England tournament this week.

Volleyball received the #3 seed and will play a quarterfinal match against Wooster School at home on Wednesday, November 15 at 4pm. The two teams met just a couple of weeks ago and the Storm swept the Generals 3-0 in an impressive display. Head coach Abby Abbott is expecting a tougher test this time around: “Wooster has consistently improved this season. We are not going into the game with any assumptions. I am looking to our leaders on the court to set a quick, aggressive, and confident tone.”

GVS was given the #8 seed so will travel to the #1 team The MacDuffie School on Wednesday also. The Storm fell 1-4 to the Mustangs early in the season but head coach Dan Clarke is confident heading into the match: “They are a good team but we don’t fear anyone. We will need to be at our best but despite the early-season loss I believe in this group of players and we will go up there expecting to knock of the number one seed.”
