MS PLAYing with History

V. Parker
The 7th grade began their PLAYing with History project-based learning (PBL) assignment where they explore the role of media. The students are researching and writing plays on this topic which will then be presented in the Black Box.

PLAYing with History kicked off this week with various workshops in acting, tech, playwriting, and storytelling. Each student attended 1-2 workshops to help prepare for the presentation next Friday. The performances will culminate with an international food festival which celebrates an earlier unit of study on identity and ethnicity.

Jen Pokorney said, “A special thanks to our history teacher Sarah Westerberg who organized and rallied our theatre and drama experts to help create these collaborative workshops.”

This project is part of the 7th grade teaching team’s focus on project-based learning.
