Meet St. Luke’s New IT Director

NBT
St. Luke’s search for an exceptional Information Technology (IT) Director led to a wonderful realization...she was already right here. Eleanor Page, St. Luke’s Database Manager, has been named St. Luke’s Director of IT.

Jim Foley, Assistant Head of School for Leadership and Innovation, elaborates: “We have a phenomenal technology team. Above all, we wanted them empowered. We needed someone to lead and bring their work supporting teachers and learners to the next level. As we talked with team members, it became increasingly clear that Eleanor emerged as a natural leader. She is an excellent collaborator and a knowledgeable, dedicated professional with experience leading teams of technologists here and in other organizations.”

Eleanor joined St. Luke’s IT in 2008 as the Database Manager. In her new role, she oversees the Academic Technologists Matt Bavone and Eli Fendelman, Systems Support Specialist PJ Clarke, Network Administrator Roger D’Agostin, and A/V Specialist John Conners. Eleanor has a dual degree in Economics and French, and spent nearly a decade managing technology teams and working on international software projects at Hyperion in Stamford.

When asked to speculate about the role of technology at St. Luke’s, Eleanor did not hesitate: “St. Luke’s use of technology in the classroom has increased significantly in the last year. It’s exciting to witness students develop videos games to learn about history, produce musical raps to communicate biology concepts, and edit video to create mock news broadcasts. My goal is to help the technology team continue this momentum and inspire students and teachers to leverage the power of technology.”
