St. Luke's Ski Quick Out Of The Gates

The St. Luke’s Ski team enjoyed an excellent first race at Mount Southington on Thursday, January 11 with Andrew Kurth ‘18 and Phoebe Kurth ‘20 both finishing in the top 10.

In some tricky conditions, Storm captain Andrew Kurth put in two impressive runs of 23:66 and 22:15 to finish ninth overall with a total of 45:81. Curtis Camp ‘19 enjoyed an excellent second run with a time 23:94 to finish 26th overall with a total of 50:61.

On the girls’ side, Phoebe Kurth finished second overall, just 0.5 seconds off first place with times of 23:21 and 21:62 for a total of 44:83. Kirsten Pastore ‘19 narrowly missed out on a top-twenty finish with times of 26:42 and 24:28 to finish 21st overall with a total of 50:70.

Next up: The St. Luke’s Ski teams are back in action on Wednesday, January 24 again at Mount Southington.
