St. Luke's Survives Tough Road Test at King

Evan Downey
St. Luke's Boys Varsity Basketball survived a challenging road game against FAA rival King Friday night 60-56.  After an early lead, St. Luke's struggled to get stops and make buckets against a gritty Vikings squad.  Though the Storm never trailed in the match the Vikings nearly pulled the upset in front of a raucous home crowd.  St. Luke's was paced by senior captain Jonas Harper, who had 30 points in the contest.  Fellow captain Jackson Ryan joined Harper in double figures with 14.  Andrew Varoli and Jackson Selvala each added 5 and Scott Vollmer chipped in 4 to round out the Storm attack.  St. Luke's returns to the hardwood on Saturday for a 2:30pm tip against Hun School.
