St. Luke's Drops FAA Contest at Hamden Hall

Evan Downey
St. Luke's Boys Varsity Basketball dropped a close 55-64 game at Hamden Hall on Saturday afternoon.  St. Luke's gave a heroic effort, with two starters playing with the flu and a third with a bruised rib, but came up just a couple of plays short.  The contest was a back-and-forth affair until the Hornets managed to take a lead late in the second half that the Storm couldn't quite make up.  Jonas Harper led St. Luke's with 22 points, while Andrew Varoli added 15 to join him in double figures.  Jackson Selvala scored 8, Jackson Ryan added 6, and Scott Vollmer had 4 to round of the Storm attack.  St. Luke's returns to the hardwood on Monday afternoon at Hopkins. Tip is at 5pm
