St. Luke's Uses Suffocating Second-Half Defense to Knock off Hopkins

Evan Downey
Despite having three starters out, St. Luke's defeated Hopkins 70-50 Monday night to move to 8-2 in the FAA.  Clinging to a six-point lead at the half, St. Luke's locked down defensively in the second to coast to a twenty-point win.  Jonas Harper led St. Luke's with 23 points, while Jackson Ryan scored 17, and Jah'khi Washington scored 12 to join Harper in double figures.  Scott Vollmer added 8 points, Cole Bryant scored 6, Kenny Soares had 2, and Lewis Cropper scored his first varsity bucket to round out the Storm attack.  St. Luke's returns to the hardwood on Thursday at FAA rival Greens Farms Academy.  Tip is at 6pm.
