Lunch and Lead with Dr. Lauren Ernberg

V. Parker
From W.I.S.E. Club Co-President Hannah Mathew ‘19:

On February 1, the Center for Leadership’s Lunch and Lead, co-hosted by the W.I.S.E. (Women in STEM Education) Club, featured Dr. Lauren Ernberg—a radiologist at Norwalk Radiology and Mammography Center and St. Luke’s parent. Dr. Ernberg detailed the nature of her field, including some case studies captured through X-ray images. She acknowledged some of the challenges of radiology, like the difficult task of informing a patient they have cancer. While discussing her career path, she admitted the road is long with 8-12 years of study but finds her work incredibly fulfilling. She also noted that during her career the medical field has shifted from being predominantly filled with men to a balance of male and female doctors. We appreciate her willingness to meet with us and share her inspiring story.
