Storm Seniors Lead St. Luke's to Victory Over Masters in Regular Season Finale

Evan Downey
St. Luke's Boys Varisty Basketball defeated Masters 81-67 in their final regular season game to close out the conference slate with a 12-2 record.  After a back-and-forth start, the Storm settled into a 37-27 halftime lead.  St. Luke's came out of the gate red hot to take a commanding lead in the first two minutes of the second half, forcing a Panthers time out.  Masters made several runs, but St. Luke's responded to each and coasted to a 14-point victory.  Seniors Jonas Harper (23 points), Jackson Ryan (19 points), Andrew Varoli (12 points), and Jackson Selvala all scored in double figures to lead the Storm.  Cole Bryant added 9 points in his first start, Jah'khi Washington added 5, and Scott Vollmer scored 2.  With the win, St. Luke's secured a top two seed and a quarterfinal bye in next week's FAA post-season tournament.  On Tuesday, they will learn whom they will host in the friendly confines of Carey Gymnaisum on Thursday afternoon with a shot at spot in the tournament final on the line.
