From St. Luke's to China: One-on-One Video Conferencing

V. Parker
St. Luke’s Mandarin students of all levels recently had the chance to video conference with Chinese students at Xiamen Foreign Language School located in Fujian, China. Speaking in both Mandarin and English, the students discussed a variety of topics from school life to hobbies and showed off their classroom spaces. St. Luke’s students were surprised to learn Xiamen School has as many as 50 students in each of their classes.

St. Luke’s Mandarin teacher Jingjing Lai said, “Because of the 12-hour time difference, we reached out to the Xiamen boarding school and connected with students and faculty when it was during the day for us and the evening for them. It was exciting to share this learning experience with them.”
