Cross Country Runners Smash PB's at FAA Meet

Dan Clarke
The third FAA Cross Country meet of the season on Wednesday, October 17, proved to be a very successful one for the St. Luke’s runners.

Many in the St. Luke’s squad recorded personal bests for the season with Jackson Hart ‘19 finishing 26th overall with a time of 19:48 and Carolina Warneryd ‘19 coming in 15th overall in the girls’ race with a time of 22:46.

It was a perfect fall day for the race at Sherwood Island State Park which, according to Head Coach Corliss Spencer, helped members of the team shave minutes of their previous times. “We had a great day with a number of the team running their fastest times of the season. The cooler temperatures definitely helped as we had some very fast times.”

Jamie Ullman ‘19 came in second for St. Luke’s, 34th overall, with a time of 20:11. Brian Gall ‘22 finished 39th overall in a time of 20:30 while brother Danny Gall ‘22 was just behind him in 48th with a time of 20:53.

Next up: The Cross Country team heads to the South Kent Invitational on Saturday, October 20. Races get underway at 2:30pm.
