St. Luke’s Hosts More Than 150 College Visits

Rebecca Knapp Adams
An extensive roster of college representatives is visiting the Hilltop this fall. Colleges have come from some 30 states and the District of Columbia, and from at least seven countries. They have come from as far away as Sydney and as close to home as Fairfield, meeting with interested juniors and seniors to share information and answer questions about their programs.

In September, the College Counseling Office hosted an
evening with admissions representatives from two universities in the United Kingdom, who shared what it’s like to attend college in the UK.

"We're thrilled that so many schools choose to come to St. Luke's and meet with our students,” said Associate Director of College Counseling Stephen Vehslage. “These visits give kids exposure to colleges they haven't explored, and it allows them to connect with admissions reps from schools they're seriously considering. Our kids get to meet the people who will read their applications, and the reps have a chance to put faces to the names of St. Luke’s applicants. Everybody wins."
