Fall Plays Bring Lots of Laughter

From the Director of Theatre Arts Jason Peck:

St. Luke’s Middle and Upper School Theatre had an incredible time putting on two very funny, very outrageous performances on back-to-back weekends. Both shows featured a chance for our thespians to take on larger-than-life characters and for our tech crews to develop some innovative designs.

Homework Eats Dog gave our Middle School students the chance to explore the “rules” of sketch comedy (like Saturday Night Live). The 39 Steps allowed Upper School students to explore all the delicious clichés and tropes found in melodrama. The mantra for both shows was “the bigger the better.”

Thank you to all who came out to support the fall productions. In January, we will present The Wolves, and February brings our all-school musical production of The School of Rock.
