MS Artwork of the Week: Max Fleisch '23

Haley Wulfman
Using oil pastels and embroidered stitches, Max utterly transformed this photograph by renowned American photographer William Eggleston*. A scene that previously felt like a rather ordinary portrayal of one corner of the American landscape now vibrates with color, texture and energy. Congratulations, Max!

*William Eggleston is often considered one of the first to elevate color photography to the level of fine art. His images, usually shot with Kodachrome film, both document and interpret the everyday American experience.
