Middle School Model UN Earns Honorable Mention

V.Parker
From MS Model UN Advisor Chris Phelps:

St. Luke’s Middle School Model UN members attended the Global Classrooms International Model UN conference in NYC, which took place at both the UN General Assembly and the Grand Hyatt Hotel in midtown. Representing the Czech Republic, our 7th and 8th grade students tackled international issues, proposed solutions and reached compromises on those issues.

Macy Millones ‘23 and Myles Sead ‘23 earned honorable mention citations for their work on the ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council), which offered solutions on how to address the illicit antiquities trade in the world market.

The closing ceremonies took place in the UN General Assembly, where students heard addresses by conference administrators.

Congratulations to all the St. Luke’s students who attended, including:
7th graders—Fiona Mueller, McLain Boege, Dylan West, Watson Meyer, Abhi Polaki, and Brendan Casey
8th graders—Cessa Lewis, Ale Lewis, Myles Sead, and Macy Millones
