Congratulations to Ana for creating the Middle School Artwork of the Week! Her beautiful drawing of a hand is captivating to look at because it is such a realistic representation, even including the bandaid that she was wearing when she drew it. It is important to note that she used the effective technique of using three drawing materials: pencil, fine point marker, and colored pencil. This helped make it a strong, bold drawing that it would have been difficult to do with just pencil. It should also be noted that this hand is part of a series of hands she has drawn- each one a little different. Many artists find themselves creating a series of works based on the same theme.  Needless to say- creating a series of work helps the artist to develop her ideas and dive deeper into the subject. This is a good example of that.
