Nancy Sarno
Congratulations to all of the winners of the Artwork of the Week! Maggie Jones won for her very lifelike paper mache elephant that seems like it might slowly lumber away as you look at it. Sawyer woodruff won for her wonderfully charming paper mache sculpture of an imaginary character,  and Katherine Howe won for her digital painting that looks as if it was a photograph, or I should say - better and more lifelike than a photograph. Leia Mitwalli's drawing that she did for the challenge to make a drawing using all of the ink in a ball point pen is an original, evocative drawing of a girl reminiscent of the powerful work of Edward Gorey. Kayden Soares made an intriguing ceramic sculpture of a bright yellow chain stretched between two hooks, and Latanielle Augustin won for her heart-felt drawings, one that captures a snapshot a collection of images, and the other based on the poem, My Mother Grew A Garden.
