Ari Fleischer on Political Discord & Civil Discourse

nbt
The second Political Discord & Civil Discourse student assembly, presented by the Center for Leadership, featured former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer.

St. Luke’s parent Ari Fleisher described his years as press secretary to President George W. Bush as the best, “most intellectually stimulating” professional time of his life. Fleisher was the guest speaker at St. Luke’s second Political Discord and Civil Discourse student assembly hosted by the Center for Leadership.

Head of School Mark Davis hosted the discussion and asked Fleischer to comment on the increasingly uncivil discourse taking place in politics and across the nation. Fleisher’s responses to those questions, and several more posed by St. Luke’s students, are captured in this video.

The first Political Discord & Civil Discourse assembly took place April 25, and featured CNN anchor and St. Luke’s parent Alisyn Camerota and Congressman Jim Himes. Watch this first assembly here: Student Leadership: Bringing Civil Discourse to Life.

Thanks to the Center for Leadership and Global Studies Director Beth Yavenditti for arranging these exceptional events.
