6th Grade Water Walk

V Parker
In late May, St. Luke’s 6th graders conducted their In Her Shoes Water Walk simulation. Each student carried at least one gallon of water on an extensive walk around the St. Luke’s campus. Sixth Grade World Cultures teacher Samantha Gordon shared, “This activity was inspired by the true events surrounding our recent reading of Long Walk to Water. Our 6th grade World Cultures classes have discussed the issue of access to clean water in our study of Sub-Saharan Africa.”
