Passing The Pendulum Baton

From Pendulum Co-Advisor Steve Flachsbart:

Last week, with a formal hand off from recent graduate and former editor Clara Pakman ‘19, senior Brody Menzies officially took the reigns of The Pendulum, St. Luke’s Upper School literary magazine. In his new role, Brody will run meetings and be instrumental in determining the content and design of the award-winning literary magazine. With the help of fellow seniors Lily Tencic, Laura Mercedes, Ruth Mercedes, and Lizzy Adamsen, as well as a cadre of underclassmen, Brody hopes to make the 2019-2020 edition even more lively than last year's (if that's possible).

The Pendulum has won numerous awards from the Columbia Press Association and the National Council of Teachers of English for its high quality layout, artwork, and student writing.

Last year’s edition can be found on the St. Luke’s Student Publications webpage.

Students in grades 9-12 interested in joining The Pendulum should contact Brody Menzies or co-advisors Mr. Flachsbart or Ms. Yankura.
