Five St. Luke’s Seniors Tapped as “Top Teens to Watch”

V.Parker
“These Gen Zers...intelligent, talented, forward-thinking, and full of charisma.”
-Westport Magazine 2019 Teens to Watch

Five St. Luke’s seniors were named “Top Teens to Watch,” and are featured in current issues of Moffly magazines.

Phoebe Kurth ‘20 and Jerry Rutigliano ‘20 were recognized as “History in the Making” teens in the New Canaan, Darien & Rowayton Magazine. Of the ten teens selected for this story, they were the only two from the same independent school. Phoebe’s dedicated work on suicide prevention awareness and at the nonprofit LiveGirl, paired with a passion for skiing and hiking, placed her in this accomplished group. Jerry was selected for his talents in athletics, music, and giving back to his community.

From his work on St. Luke’s Center for Leadership’s Lunch & Lead program to curating a witchcraft museum exhibition, Chris Walsh ‘20 was one of just ten students on the “Ready to Launch” top teens list in Fairfield Living Magazine.

A dedicated drummer with dreams of helping change the world, Eli Gillespie ‘20 was one of the promising teens with “focus, determination, ambition and clarity” highlighted in Stamford Magazine.

Senior Amelie Warneryd’s top French and debate awards, recent American Society of Engineers neurotrauma apprenticeship, and dream to someday work for Doctors Without Borders placed her in the “Class Act” crew of teens spotlighted in Westport, Weston & Wilton Magazine.

Themes of leadership and service were prominent throughout our students' profiles. As succinctly stated in the Fairfield Magazine top teen article, “These teens have so much to teach us all about getting the most out of life.”
