Inktober & InktobLers

V.Parker
From Middle School Art Teacher Haley Wulfman:

Every October, artists worldwide take on the Inktober drawing challenge, started by artist Jake Parker in 2009. Every year, Parker releases a word for each day of the month, and people make drawings in ink to respond. All members of the St. Luke’s community are invited to join this drawing challenge.

To participate:
  • Create an art piece, including a handmade ink element, in response to one of the Inktober prompts. Max size = 9” x 12”
  • Label the front of your artwork with your first and last name, as well as the Inktober word of the day.
  • Submit to Middle School art teachers Ms. Sarno or Ms. Wulfman to be part of the Inktober Gallery, located in the Forese Family Fireplace Commons.
  • Come to the INKTOBERFEST celebration at the end of the month—details to follow.
We are also adding a special St. Luke’s Inktober challenge by creating your own “InktobLer”—an ink drawing of Middle School English teacher Kirstie Tobler. Completed InktobLers should also be given to Ms. Sarno or Ms. Wulfman.

Be sure to stop by the Forese Fireplace Commons to view the submissions, which will be added throughout the month.
