SLS PA: Master Class with Michael Mitchell

SS
The Parents' Association held its first Master Class last week, featuring designLab Director, Michael Mitchell. As a stimulating “crash course” in design thinking, this activity brought together a small group of like-minded parents curious to learn more about problem solving in a creative and innovative way. Through one-to-one pairing, group sharing and abstract thinking activities, Michael Mitchell encouraged participants to experience the 5 core stages of design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Events such as this provide parents a glimpse into what our students get to experience every day with our amazingly talented faculty! Many thanks to Michael Mitchell for sharing his expertise and challenging all of us to think "outside the box". It was a stimulating and informative evening for everyone!
