Coming September 2020: St. Luke’s Reimagined Fitness Center

At St. Luke’s State of the School, Board Chair James Andersen shared the ongoing “revolution of change” that has transformed the St. Luke’s campus and learning environments. This includes the Forese Family Fireplace Commons, the Center for Leadership and Christine Noyer Seaver Global Classroom, a new Science Wing, the Be Kind Plaza, the Wyckoff Family Black Box Theatre and the Class of 2015 lower turf field, and new Arts & Jensen Family Humanities Wings.

This summer, the transformation continues into the Athletic Center. The video below highlights key elements of a reimagined wellness and fitness space.

Get Ready to Get Excited...

Families in the class of 2020 have a special opportunity to leave a mark on the new space. Senior Class Gift Co-Chair Sharon Macey explains: "This renovation addresses a strategic need of the school and we are thrilled that the Class of 2020 Senior Gift can play a role in advancing this project. While each member of this class will leave his or her individual legacy at St. Luke's, the Class of 2020 Cardio and Training Mezzanine will be a physical reminder of their collective impact on the Hilltop."

According to Athletic Director Mike West, the new spaces will enhance the experiences of all St. Luke’s students: “Our St. Luke’s Storm teams will have greater access to strength and endurance opportunities, and all students will have more reasons and opportunities to engage in fitness training on our campus.”

The Long Maroon Line Does it Again

Andersen credits St. Luke’s ongoing campus improvements to a “long maroon line” of St. Luke’s families who share “ their time, talent and treasure to see St. Luke’s reach its potential.” According to Andersen, the line “goes back decades and is made up of families standing shoulder to shoulder to create a legacy for our children and for future generations.”
